What We Weld

Practical Repairs & Custom Metalwork for Everyday Life

If it’s metal, we can usually fix it, reinforce it, or build it from scratch. Here are the types of projects homeowners most often ask about.

Repairs & Reinforcement

Cracked welds, broken brackets, sagging gates or railings—we restore strength and safety so you don’t have to replace the whole thing.

  • Gates, fences & railings
  • Trailer & utility racks
  • Deck, stair & handrail repairs

Custom Home Projects

Turn sketches and ideas into finished metal pieces that actually fit your space and take a beating in daily use.

  • Shelving, brackets & workbenches
  • Fire pits & outdoor furniture
  • Garage, shop & gym fixtures

Yard, Farm & Utility

Keep your outdoor equipment and structures working hard—without buying new when a strong weld will do the job.

  • Hinges, gates & panels
  • Trailer frames & hitches
  • Racks, cages & animal enclosures

Bring Your Idea to Life

Not Sure What You Need? That’s What the Free Consult Is For.

Most people don’t know metal thicknesses, joint types, or which welding process to ask for—and you don’t need to. You just need to explain the problem or the project:

  • What’s broken or what you want to build
  • Where it lives (indoors, outdoors, vehicle, shop, etc.)
  • Rough sizes, photos, or sketches if you have them

On the consultation call we’ll walk through options, materials, timelines, and a clear price range so you can decide what makes sense before committing.

What Neighbors Say

“Stronger Than the Original and Done in One Visit.”

Homeowners call Steel Tree Metalworks when they want work that looks professional and feels bombproof.

“Our back gate hinge had cracked clean through and the whole thing was sagging. They came out, reinforced both sides, and now it swings smoother than when it was new.”

Emily R. · Gate repair & reinforcement

“I sent a rough sketch of the workbench I wanted for my garage. A week later it was in my driveway—square, level, and solid enough to park a truck on.”

Jon D. · Custom steel workbench

“They were honest about what could be repaired vs. what should be rebuilt. We ended up saving money and getting a safer railing for our stairs.”

Sandra & Mike · Stair & railing project

Questions

FAQ About the Free Welding Consultation

If you’re not sure whether your project is a fit, that’s exactly why we start with a quick, free call.

What happens on the free consultation?

We’ll ask a few questions about what you need repaired or built, look at any photos or sketches you can share, and talk through options. You’ll get a rough price range, timeline, and whether it’s a mobile or in-shop job. There’s no obligation to move forward.

Do you offer mobile welding at my location?

Yes. Many repairs and smaller projects can be done on-site at your home, farm, or shop as long as we can safely access power and the work area. If it’s a better fit for the shop (for example, precision fabrication), we’ll let you know during the consult.

How much does a typical project cost?

Costs depend on material, thickness, complexity, and how long the job will take. Small repairs may be a few hundred dollars; larger custom builds can run higher. The consultation is where we narrow that down and give you a clear number before any work is scheduled.

What should I prepare before the call?

Photos go a long way. If you can, snap a few pictures of the area or item, note any key measurements, and think about how you’ll use it day to day. If you already have inspiration photos or a sketch, that’s helpful but not required.

Are you insured and experienced with residential work?

Yes. Steel Tree Metalworks is fully insured, and we regularly work on residential gates, railings, stairs, fixtures, and utility equipment. Safety, durability, and clean welds are always the priority.
